Anzac Day Parade
It was a beautiful morning for the Camden Anzac Day Parade, with clear skies after such a wet week. Mount Annan Christian College was very well represented from all parts of the school. It was really wonderful to see everyone looking very smart in their uniforms.
The Anzac Day service was a tribute to the 100th Anniversary of Anzac Day, with many of the speeches and hymns reminding us of the sacrifices and hardships endured that many of the young soldiers that went off to war made on our behalf. A wreath was laid by our captains Sara-Jayne and Connor on behalf of MACC as part of the commemorations.
Thank you to Mrs Gray for organising everyone, as well as a big thank you to all of our parents for making such a fantastic turnout possible.

It's all Illusion!
Optical Illusions are a part of Art that are fascinating as well as entertaining. We will be studying how illusion plays a part of Art. There is a connection with Mathematics and Science, because of the way these images trick our eyes and alter our perception of the world around us.
We watched the following video, which introduced the topic. It shows how our mind makes up for what our eyes see. It is about what we perceive to be reality but is in fact an illusion.

The next part of the lesson was to explore the many different types of illusions that are around, finding many different and creative optical illusions.
We then watched another video by Brusspup on Youtube who created a little T-rex that when filmed looks like it is turning its head... so we then made our own,
What do you know about Optical illusions? Do you have a favourite optical illusion that you would like to share?
