Da Vinci Decathlon

Over the last few weeks, a number of our students have been involved in training for the Da Vinci Decathlon, which will be held in our Sports Hall on the 12th March.

The Da Vinci Decathlon is an annual event that was started by Knox Grammar School. It is an academic competition for teams of students in 10 disciplines such as Mathematics, Chess, Art, Poetry, Drama, Engineering, Cartography and Code Breaking.

These areas of discipline are based upon the life of Leonard Da Vinci, who was one of history's greatest thinkers. The Decathlon places an emphasis on higher order thinking and creativity that Da Vinci displayed throughout his lifetime.

There are 22 teams entered in this years competition, so we are facing quite a lot of competition. It has been a privilege to see how hard everyone has been working in training, developing confidence and strategies for the day.
